Johnny Was & The Perfect CHEAP Boyfriend Jean

Can I call them the husband jean? haha Ok But seriously, I am not kidding you when I say I got these jeans for 24 DOLLARS. I know!! SHUT THE FRONT DOOR. Swing around and shut the back!!!! They are from a company called BooHoo haha! There are always sales going on, so I try and wait for the perfect time to buy. I got them for 50% off. So be patient and the time will come! They are British I think, so you have to go a size up. Which is a tiny bit depressing, but you get over it when you put the clothes on. I looked slightly like the devil in this last picture. So I cropped half of my face out. It's fine.

On to the next topic: Do you guys know about Haute Look? I mean seriously. Maybe I shouldn't be telling you about it because it really becomes an addiction. Wait there is another back story: So for my job we go shopping in California sometimes. I was introduced to this AMAZING store called Johnny Was. It was pretty life changing. Not to mention FREAKING expensive. Don't you hate when you have life changing experiences but then reality hits you and you can't buy anything?! It has the cutest hippie/embroidered clothes. Ok so back to Haute Look: it is an online flash sale that is powered by Nordstrom! they send you a evil, little notification at 9am and sometimes 3pm saying Kephren come buy me. jk. They just say what is on sale for that moment. They have everything from home decor, to clothing, to gift ideas! I really need to turn off my notifications. Long story a little shorter: I got these 200 Dollar shirts for $40 BUCKS. They are soft as a babies bottom, and so comfortable! Perfect for those days that I feel like I am a beached whale and need to cover up. haha.

Overalls!!

You guys! OVERALLS. I know. Here is my question for you: Why did they ever go out of style? THEY ARE AMAZING. Not only are they more comfortable than life itself. But they are so fun!! Steven said I look like a cowgirl. Well if thats the case SIGN ME UP. I am an overall girl now. Its fine. You can judge. Forever 21 is perfect for a new trend you are wanting to try out! You aren't breaking the bank, and if you hate it you can always send it back. Oh how I love online shopping! I have an addiction, its fine. Things could be worse? Do you like my top picture? H&M Summer Skirt

HAPPY MONDAY!!!!

It is a bit rainy here today! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend! Steven and I had a nice relaxing weekend. {We sat and watched movies all weekend} Seriously though, sometimes you just need to sit and do nothing! It was really nice. I am still a little tired though. WHY!? Can I ever catch up on sleep? I think that is what being a grown up is: attempting to catch up on sleep at all times. Do you guys keep a good schedule? For a minute there we were going to sleep at midnight and I just was not having it! I tried getting to bed by 9 the last week, and flipping heck Steven would be fast asleep and I was still up until 11. SHAME ON ME. I wish I could be better at being asleep by 10 and up by 6. That is my ideal schedule. I am determined to do it this week!

How fun is this skirt from H&M? I got it a few days ago. Online it says they are out of sizes but there were still a lot when I went! I love all the different colors in it. I paired it with blue, but there is hot pink, and purple in there that you could totally wear it with too! It is a perfect skirt for summer!

My Blog Up To This Point & Some Thoughts

 

 

We about to get real deep up in here.

I have been thinking about this blog a lot lately. 

I freaking love posting fashion photos. But I've also been thinking about life a lot lately. UGH. I wish I didn't. I think WAY too deep into things. Do you ever look up at the night sky and your brain starts to freak out because you are so consumed with what else could be going on beyond you? Well I think about this not even looking at the sky. I think about it driving to work. HAHA. Like for heaven sakes on my way to work I'll think to myself why was I born in America? What if I had been born in Iraq? or India? or some other crazy place? What the heck is my purpose?!?! I wish so badly that I were better at writing my thoughts down. In my head they make so much sense. But when I write them, or even say them, it turns into nonsense! For the four people reading this you are probably like "Okay Keph lets get to the point!" I wish I could say I have a point to all of this. But I wish this blog could incorporate ALL facets of my likes. Share my fashion (which I in no way think is amazing. I started this blog to find my style and have a few people follow along because you think I am weird!), and also talk about my thoughts on the things no one really talks about. But I am not really sure how I could do that. I have been thinking a lot about My Story. My life. My experiences. Some people choose to ignore their story. But I am really wanting to start embracing my story. Find where my place is to share my story.  In my opinion I have had a lot of life changing amazing/depressing experiences in my short 24 years of life. I think more of us need to start embracing our stories, so we can maybe help others with theirs. 

Sorry for my word vomit. It has been on my mind all too often. Maybe once a week or something I will write about my thoughts a little more. Just know It won't be very eloquent. But it is still my story.

Casual, Cool, Summer Dress

Happy Monday!! I wish it weren't Monday but I guess I have to deal with it. I am back from California! I honestly don't know how people handle the humidity! My hair turns into a crazy person and has a mind of its own. I do love it there though. The shopping is wonderful, the people are awesome. California just has my heart!

 How cute is this dress from J.Crew Factory!? Oh I just love it there. Everything was 50% off when I went, and I felt like I was in heaven! haha ok that is a little extreme. It is also where I got this fantastic necklace!!! I honestly can not get enough of it! It is so pretty. I love all the different colors, and it goes with almost anything! Hooray for versatility!!!! But seriously, this dress is perfect for a hot summers day. It was 100 degrees when we took these pics and it was so nice to not feel like I needed to rip off my entire outfit! ha!

Fitness Friday

Oh hey everyone!

I am in California right now for work and am so happy!!! I just love it here.  I always feel like I am at home when I am near the ocean. It is such a peaceful place for me. We are only here for one night but I plan on waking up early for a run on the beach tomorrow.  I feel so lucky to have the job I have. Amazing people, and experiences constantly surround me. I sometimes wish I could talk about it in more detail but for now I am just trying to take in every moment I can. 

These leggings are seriously amazing. I got them back in December so I can’t give you the exact match but Athleta carries them in different colors. There are pockets on both sides that are big enough to fit an iPhone in, some pepper spray, gum, keys…it’s like Mary Poppins bag up in there! Speaking of Mary Poppins I had “I love to laugh” come up on my iPhone that day, and I seriously laugh so hard every time I hear it. I started laughing and I think steven thought I was crazy. When my mom and I watch that scene we are rolling on the floor.

Anyone have good suggestions of what to listen to while running? I have recently started getting into podcasts. If you have any suggestions I would love to hear it! I will talk more in depth about the podcasts I listen to next week. Love you guys! We are off to explore some shops!

Sorry if you are like "Okay Keph...there are a lot of half body pics." It't not my fault I promise. It's my camera's fault! I always thought okay they are totally being paid to say this. But I finally caved and got some. I tell you what they are my favorite!! I definitely stay on the more neutral side, but some days I'll have some fun and use the other colors.
