Pop of Neon

Hey Everyone!

I hope you all had a great weekend. I am currently fighting a cold and I am not excited to start the week feeling sick! bleh. 

It felt like summer on Saturday and I thought it was the perfect time to wear this cute sweater. I LOVE the neon detail on it. My Dittos jeans are so comfortable I could wear them to sleep. They are basically jeggings, but still have back pockets. 

I hate not having pockets in my pants.

I am also obsessed with these shoes. They are so comfortable to walk in! 

They go with almost any outfit, and I thought they were perfect to wear on this warm day.

I am starting a new series called Bold and Brave Wednesdays. 

I will be wearing some outfits that made me stretch outside of my comfort zone. I feel like I always want to try a new trend but hold myself back because I don't feel like I could rock it, or feel like people would think I was crazy. But as I get older I realize more and more that it does not matter what other people think. 

We need to have more fun, be more confident, and love exactly who we are!

Fitness Friday! Athleta

It is time for another Fitness Friday! I thought it would be fun to do a brand spotlight on Athleta. 

We finally got an Athleta store at City Creek in Salt Lake City and I was on cloud nine! 

Where do I even begin?

Athleta was born in 1998-bless my heart I feel old.

They only carry women's clothing, and have a powerful motto about women and basically how bad a$$ we are. Pardon my french. Consequently if we are so awesome we may as well look awesome!

Fun Fact: Gap is their sister store.

My favorite part about Athleta you ask? THEIR RETURN POLICY.  "Give it a workout Guarantee"-

PEOPLE you can workout in your new clothes and if you hate it? Return it!! Who does that?

Tags off, and you think your butt looks bad during your workout? Return it!

They are cheaper than Lululemon. They have the cutest dresses and skirts. 

Please do yourself a favor and check out their swimming suits.

I just don't know what else I can say other than I have talked myself into going tomorrow.

Casual Sunday

Saturday in the Park..

Hello Everyone!

We went and saw Cinderella, and it of course was incredible. The magic of Disney always gets me! 

I love this comfy sweater for spring. It honestly goes with anything, and it so cute buttoned to the side, or draped down. It can easily be dressed up with fun accessories, or worn casually.

Fitness Friday! My Favorites-

ITS FRIDAY!!

Okay. I have been obsessing over the entire collection Spiritual Gangster has right now. These tanks are SO soft. I love all of the different sayings they have, and I am saving up my pennies for their sweatshirts.  SOFTER THAN A BABIES BOTTOM I TELL YOU. To be honest I am not sure if they sell them anywhere mainstream in Utah. I got mine at Xcel Fitness in Holladay-they have the cutest boutique ever, and sell the most unique and fun fitness gear!

Lets also talk about the headphones I am wearing.

Once you get a pair of bluetooth head phones you don't go back.

I forgot my JayBirds the other day at the gym and used a pair of Apple headphones and about lost it. The stupid cord always gets in the way and it drives me crazy! The JayBirds are awesome because they are noise canceling so you can stay more focused on your workout. I know they are a tad pricey but they are totally worth it if you are spending a lot of your time at the gym, running, biking,  mowing the lawn? Whatever you do I promise they are worth it.

Finally my Fitbit.

I love my Fitbit for a few reasons. For me it is like a competition. A competition with myself, and anyone that follows you. My mom and husband have a Fitbit so we follow each other. By the end of the day if we haven't reached our goal we are stomping around the house trying to get our numbers up. It is also nice to see how active you really are. Some days I walk like 2,000 steps and its embarrassing...but on other days I will kill it and walk over 10,000 steps! You can constantly track yourself throughout the day on it, and it really is motivating to try and get to your goal. 

As I am getting older it is more and more apparent that diet and fitness have to be apart of my lifestyle. I am training really, really hard right now. It is something completely out of my comfort zone, and honestly the hardest thing I have ever done. Every Friday I will be updating this here blog on my progress and probably complain a little. *wishing I could eat buttery popcorn right now*

Spring Blues

Happy Hump Day!

I am absolutely in love with this shirt and pattern. It is such a fun spring shirt. The weather has been SO nice. It has made this winter fly by. Also these J.Crew Factory loafers are everything! I have trudged around all of Los Angeles in them and they were so comfortable. 

Don't forget to stop by on Friday for some of my favorite workout gear. In my opinion one of the most motivating factors of fitness is what I am wearing. Cute clothes make me want to go work out! I will also talk about what I am doing to get in better shape. Woot woot!

Leather Detail

Happy Monday everyone! How cute is this sweater from Zara? I thought it was a perfect transition sweater from winter into spring. It isn't very heavy, and I love that you can dress it up or down. You can judge me: I got the same shoes as my last post but in this cute black leather and metallic grey. 

I thought I would give some background on why I wanted to start a blog. There really are several reasons why I have wanted to start a blog. Growing up I have always felt like I buy what is popular even if it doesn't look that great on me.  Through my job, I have had the amazing pleasure of working/watching a fantastic stylist who has styled some of the most amazing actors and actresses in Hollywood. As I watched her work one of her points was to take a picture of something you are trying on and to take a good look at yourself in it.  How does it frame your face? Is it really that flattering on you? Do you just like it because you have seen other girls in it? 

That is what I hope to do on my blog. Discover what works well for me. Find my own personal style.

I am doing this for me.
