Bold and Brave Wednesday: Swimming Suits

Happy Hump Day! lol
I think my mom would say that this post was a little too bold hahaha
I am always on the hunt for a great swimsuit, so why can't I share my faves!?
Both coverups I am wearing are from ASOS and both are on sale! Fringe is really in this season and the cream kimono is so fun. I am so happy one pieces are back in style. They are so comfy, and lets not forget that they can suck everything in. Can I get a holler for that?! Trina Turk has the cutest patterned swimsuits. I love this bikini from ASOS! The colors are perfect for summer and make you feel a whole lot tanner than you are! Girls, I aint no size two but who gives a hoot? I am learning to embrace my body, and not care what other people think. If I want to wear a bikini I will wear a bikini! Lets all just be more bold and brave and love exactly who we are.

Linen Pants

The weekend is over and it breaks my heart.
I will now pick up the pieces and start this week out fabulously!!
We had an amazing weekend in Las Vegas! It was warm, and so nice to have a quick mini vacation.
We soaked up the sun, ate a little too much food, and shopped!
I hope you all had a wonderful weekend as well.

These linen pants are to die for. They are like sweat pant meets sophistication. haha! Thats my kind of comfort my friends. They have a stretchy band around the waist, and are oh so comfortable to wear. Not to mention affordable!! Old Navy is having a 35% off sale right now. I suggest we all run and grab a pair. (I am wanting the stripped ones too!!) The best part for me is that they come in tall! Heck yes!!!! Linen pants are such a fun piece to have in your closet this summer.

Fitness Friday: Setting Goals

It's Friday!! WOOT!!
I wanted to talk about setting goals. I have had this tank for about 5 months and when I bought it I thought I was crazy. There are two spots on my body that I am the most self conscious of: My back and my stomach. While I can thank my dad for my longs legs, I can also thank him for my tummy. haha! Sorry dad. If we want to get real personal in Junior High I was bullied and sent threatening emails about how ugly I was and how I looked like the Pillsbury dough boy. That email still haunts me. It is so sad that this world is driven by bullies. One mean word can change the way you think about yourself. Someone can tell you a thousand times that you are beautiful and once that you are ugly and somehow ugly wins.
I am turning 25 this year. *OMG I'M OLD* I really wanted to get in the best shape of my life by the time I turn 25. Let me tell you, it is no walk in the park!!
This last October (my 24th birthday) I decided to make some serious changes!
I wrote my goals down:
1) Get in shape
2) Eat Clean
3) Get a six pack by the time you turn 25. (heaven help me)
I knew if I didn't take action fast I would not go through with it. I talked with some friends and found an amazing trainer to set up a plan for me. She makes me extremely accountable and has me send progress pics every week. I followed everything to a T up until Christmas. Why is it that almost every social gathering has is delicious food!?!?! Thanks America! Anyway, I am back on track now. I would say the hardest part so far for me is #1 The weekends. It is so hard to stay eating healthy on the weekends for some reason. #2 When people say abs are made in the kitchen they aren't lying. I was hoping a stork would drop a set of abs off at my front door. :'(
I wore this tank for this shoot to see my progress. I still don't feel 100% comfortable in it. But It is so fun to see how far you have come. Maybe one day I will post my beginning pictures.
Moral of the story: Set goals. It is really satisfying to see your progress, and keeps you motivated.
Also telling people, and writing it down also makes you more accountable.
Excuse me while I go look at dessert on Pinterest and cry.  Just kidding. I think.

Bold and Brave Wednesday: White Pants

Hello everyone! Happy Bold and Brave Wednesday!
White pants have always scared me to death for some reason. I always see people wearing them and they look so cute but I did not think I could pull them off. Also the fact that they are white is just terrifying. What if you sit on something dirty, and have a dirty butt the rest of the day? haha Am I the only one with these phobias? Probably. However, after trying on and wearing these jeans I am in love! The fabric is so soft they almost feel like leggings, and they suck you in at all the right places! What is better than that?! The fact that they can get dirty so easily still scares me a little..but its all about baby steps my friends! Also, tell me that these shoes are not INCREDIBLE. I have never owned a pair of Jessica Simpson shoes until now. She has a huge line of these shoes in almost every color and print imaginable and I want them all. Stupid money. I guess for now, I will just wear these blue heels with every outfit that I own.

Tomorrow is Steven's Birthday and we are packing up and heading to Vegas! (Little does he know there might be some shopping..) I just wanted to give him a Bold and Brave shout out because I really think he is the boldest and bravest person I know. He was the one that encouraged me to start this little blog, and he takes all of my pictures!! I honestly wish I could be as brave as he is. He takes on any challenge and gives it his all. He doesn't care about what other people might think of him. (I do that way too much) I take life way to seriously sometimes and Steven brings me back down to earth. As one of his birthday presents I will be posting on my social media about this here bloggy blog. Panic. Love you Stevie, thanks for always encouraging me to follow my dreams.
Happy Birthday!

Spring Cape

Oh hey everyone!! I hope you all had an amazing weekend.
I have always wanted to try out a cape. Let me tell you buying this cape is one of the better decisions I have ever made. It is SO comfortable, not to mention amazing for those of us who have fat days. haha You know like you try on every shirt in your closet, and somehow that day you are like "I look terrible in every single one of these" type of days. This is where the cape comes in!! Just throw this baby on and you are good to go! Suddenly I want a cape in every color of the rainbow.
Am I the only one that has fat days? Judge me people.
Also these shoes are amazing. I could run a marathon in these babies.
I've never run a marathon as you can tell.
But honestly the heel is just the right height to be cute and comfortable. I am all about comfort and that is what these shoes are. Not to mention they go with just about everything you can think of!

Fitness Friday: My Gym Bag Essentials

Hey guys!
Today I thought it would be fun to share my gym bag essentials.

1. Blender Bottle with a pre-workout: When I am dragging and seriously don't want to go to the gym this gets me though it! I always prepare my bottle at night and throw a scoop of pre-workout in it. My favorite right now is Taze. I throw some water in and drink it on my way to the gym. Once I get to the gym I use it as my water bottle and fill it up there!
2. Gum: I just like to chew gum especially if I am doing cardio. Maybe I will choke and die one day...but it gets me through it.
3. Hair Elastic: Oh my heavens people this is not a joke. My hair elastic BROKE at the gym TODAY. It was not the best gym experience I have ever had. I kept looking at all the other girls there with elastics on their wrists and thought about begging them for theirs. HAHA! I ended up tying my broken one around my hair. It was pathetic. Needless to say, I didn't have my gym bag. :'(
4. Extra Set of Headphones: I almost always have my bluetooth headphones. But just in case, I throw in another set for times if they run out of battery.
5. Summers Eve Towelettes: Yup I said it. Things just got real personal up in here! I workout a lot before work and during my lunch hour. Friends its always nice to have some back up if you know what I'm saying! Hygiene is a real thing.
6. Spray Deodorant: Spray deodorant is so refreshing after a long workout! It is like a nice cool breeze after a hot summers day.
7. Workout Gloves: This only really applies to people who lift. I love my gloves though! It keeps me from getting calluses on my hands and makes lifting heavy weight a whole lot easier!
8. Dry Shampoo: Dry Shampoo is a must. Especially if you cant shower right after your workout.

What are some of your gym essentials?

Outfit Details:
Gym Bag: Addidas
Hoodie: Under Armour
Leggings: Nike
Shoes: Asics

Bold and Brave Wednesday: Snake Skin Joggers

It is time for another episode of Bold and Brave Wednesday!
Can we talk about how these pants give me life right now?  I am obsessed.
They have a few amazing qualities that I would like to point out. First of all, if you have an aversion to wearing leggings these are the perfect match for you! They are skin tight past the knees and nice and baggy around your bum. haha! Second of all you can totally dress these bad boys to be dang sexy with a pair of black heels or dress them down and be super casual! (I love versatility people!) Finally they are snake skin. Enough said. This is not the last time you will be seeing these bad boys. I will put these pants in the Bold category of Bold and Brave.
Okay my rant is over.

Lets discuss for a moment about being Bold and Brave
Why is it that some of the bravest decisions we have to make in life come with the most anxiety?! The fact is we can't see the future and sometimes you have to jump into the unknown.
I guess what it all comes down to is faith.
There is no comfort in growth and no growth in comfort.

You are Beautiful

I know this post might be a little different than my normal posts but I just wanted to share it.
My friend posted this commercial on Facebook and I just got all sorts of feels from it!

Our lives are overrun by social media these days.
We stare at photos of peoples perfect lives, perfect bodies, perfect faces!
It is so hard not to compare ourselves to what we see.
I know watching this commercial I thought to myself I would totally go through the average door.
I hope on this wonderful Monday that we can choose to be Beautiful.
You are Beautiful.

On a lighter note

Thanks for Reading! See ya on Wednesday.

Fitness Friday: Top 5 Tips for Getting In Your Workout!

This is my happy face because its FRIDAY!

Suddenly I play football!

Happy Friday everyone! IT'S THE WEEKEND!
I thought it would be fun to share the top 5 things that help me stay motivated to get in my workout.
1) Make it a Habit! I do my very best to work out six times a week. Obvi you don't have to do that. BUT it is extremely important to make exercise a habit, or you just won't do it. Every Tuesday and Thursday get up and go to the gym, or run, or anything!
2) Wake up and get it over with! I can not even tell you how many times I have talked myself out of going to the gym. I go to work. I get home eat something, then turn on the tv. By the time I notice the clock it's 7:30 and I'm like "Heck no I'm not going to the gym!" Honestly if you wake up a little earlier and get it done you will feel SO great. Bonus: Your day will just be better. I promise.
3) Find what you love! If someone told me I have to do zumba everyday I would probably go jump off a cliff and never workout again. (Sorry for all you zumba lovers. I look like a ridiculous, uncoordinated, lurpy* dancer. You would understand if you saw me.) Anyway, I know I hate zumba so I choose other fun things like body pump classes, pilates, or weight lifting WOOT WOOT. I love them and they make me want to workout!
4) Try weightlifting! If anyone has told you that if you lift weights you will bulk up and look like a man...well I just have no words. YOU WONT BULK UP. YOU WILL SLIM DOWN. Trust me on this one people of earth! Your metabolism will kick into gear! Don't be intimidated by weights. If you are though, start out by using the machines. They are easy! I promise it can do amazing things for you.
5) Have Fun! This is your workout! You have the power to make this as fun or as tedious as you want it to be. I choose fun!! I lift weights with Steven and he pushes me until I can't lift anymore. Grab a friend and it will be a ton more fun. Bonus: You will workout harder and better if you have someone there with you!

This post is brought to you by: Husband Stevens Clothing that coincidentally is all Nike.
I stole his socks and his shirt.
Can we all talk about how men's clothing is a whole lot more comfy than women's clothing?
Might I also add CHEAPER!?!??
